한국어 초록

박물관 정보화는 ‘내부적 기능 (Internal Function) ’과 ‘서비스기능 (Service Linkage) ’으로 나누
어 생각해볼 수 있다1) 전자는 날로 증가하는 박물관자료2) 의 체계적이고 효율적인 관리를 위
한 정보화이고， 후자는 축적한 정보를 외부에 서비스하기 위한 정보화라 할 수 있다. 이 두 가
지 기능 중 하나라도 소홀히 하면 박물관 정보화는 성공했다고 할 수 없다.
이러한 두 가지 기능을 염두에 두었다고 하더라도 정보화를 위해 생산한 컨텐츠 (Contents).
즉 정보의 질이 떨어진다면 이 역시 실패작이 된다. 왜냐하면 박물관은 단순한 소개， 전시설
안내 ， 행정적 서비스의 온라인화， 종이로 기록된 정보의 디지럴화(D igitalization) 만으로는 점점
높아져만 가는 이용자의 요구를 충족해줄 수 없기 때문이다. 또한 21세기논 문화 전쟁의 시
대 ? 정보 전쟁의 시대라고 한다. 정보전쟁에서 살아남기 위해서는 기엽， 연구소 등의 자료들이
효과적일 것이다. 그러나 문화전쟁에서 살아남기 위해서는 박물관 · 미술관의 질 좋은 컨텐츠
로 구축된 정보J} 위력을 발휘할 것이라는 것을 국가적 차원에서도 인식해야 한다.
따라서 이 글은 박물관 정보화를 위한 컨텐츠 생산에 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 즉， 정보 이용
자의 다양성을 고려하여 어떻게 기초정보를 생산할 것인가로 범위를 좁히고자 한다. 난해한
컴퓨터의 기술적 측면보다는 프로그래머가 박물관의 필요에 맞게 프로그래밍이 가능하도록 박
물관에서 해야할 일을 중심으로 기술해보고자 한다.

영어 초록

The key role for information technology of museum in the time of culture war and
information war is to provide good contents. The meaning of information technology is not
that data yielded by paper are saved through computer memory but that we should approach
it in the field of yielding of information for providing people with useful information. In other
words‘ the information technology of museum should be done by Internal Function to control
efficiently museum data and Service Linkage to service outside data yielded.
There are a few of obstacles for the information technology of museum in Korea. First,
CEOs and principals are not feeling uneasy in the information technology. Second, it is
mannerism of information production resulted from unawareness in the process information.
Third, a small budget and short period in business can not make a good quality of
information. For solving these problems CEOs and principals should have in mind about
information technology.
To service a high quality of information is key point for success in the information
technology. The database is essential as the base work for yielding good contents. The
database and data control program for good contents should be proceeded with following
registration principle and for using these.
Production of base information for database of museum data is elementary work for
yielding good contents and servicing good information. Therefore, the service should be
considered when each information is yielded. Explanatory data for each data should be concise
and clear regarding this information is viewed via computer screen. Second, classification for
index should be verified. Folk data is especially repeated at the point of function and should
be classified for solving this problem. Third. thesaurus dictionary should be constructed for correctness in index. The thesaurus is parallel terminology and is invented as index technology
by nature language for correctness and easiness of index. It is high in the point of correctness
but takes long time to construct. 80. when base information is yielded it should be
constructed at the same time.
