Frits Seegers is a President of Citibank California, and James McGaran is a manager of the most important branch in the Los Angeles area. James’s branch is good at financial performance, so it could have got an “above par”. However, after new introduced performance scorecard, it was realized his branch’s customer satisfaction ratings did not follow the same pattern like its financial performance. Thus, he could not get “above par”. The final performance Scorecard rating links to a branch managers’ bonus, so it is important for James.
