본문내용
In <Modern Times> Paul Johnson said that it was around 1900 that the real concept of imperialism began to be expressed in socioeconomics. John Atkinson Hobson said in the 1902 Imperialism that British and the great powers inevitably colonized to find overseas investment due to their excess capital. In 1916, in <Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism'>, Vladimir Lenin, said that the Western powers claimed the supply of raw materials and food, demand for industrial products, and capital investment. The population increased along with the industrial revolution. As the population grew, cheaper food was needed to meet the increased demand for food. The economic benefits were obtained by receiving cheap industrial materials needed for industrialization from the colonies.
