C is cooled from the outside by liquid air or the like. When the degree of vacuum is high, the tungsten filament is heated by current, and the adsorbed gas is pushed out to further increase the temperature and evaporate. The steam proceeds radially through G and adheres to the underside of M.
An example of an industrial situation is shown in Fig. Vacuum deposition can be applied even with an insulator, and the plated surface is excellent in gloss and discoloration. The operation can be carried out simply in a dry state. However, the thickness of the plating is extremely thin (less than 1μ) and is not heat resistant. In addition, since this method does not have plating on the shaded portion as seen from the evaporation source, the deposited material must be rotated for plating on the entire surface. At present, most of the evaporation metal is aluminum.
