Afghanistan is remembered as a country of Osama bin Laden to the public. Or place where terror occurs frequently. However, reading this novel, I got an idea that life of the general public is similar to our country include kite flying. In particular, the process to the modern history is similar to our past rural city. In this novel, kite is important motif which connects the past and modern history.

The main character in the novel 'Amir' made a mistake to his servant's son, who works in his home, 'Hassan'.
