There are many ways to improve classes more effectively so that students feel more gained in skills and maximize personal engagement. Here are some ideas of how to, and the consequences of the systems that have actually been applied to the students at the Harvard.
First of all, after taking interviews with various levels and different ethnic groups of the Harvard students, the one critical voice they made for making more effective classes were that classes should be in rather small numbers, smaller the better. The bigger the number of students, the weaker the feedback gets. In a smaller class, professor can easily get in touch with the pupils and supplement with their needs. It has been proven also that it is even better to bring up the controversy and implement the organizational technique thus letting few small groups of students to argue over a topic. This kind of discord would let the best ideas to be spat, therefore attracting the students into the conversation in class.
