IntroductionCarbon dioxide is major greenhouse gas in the world what needs to be reduced. There are various technologies used to separate carbon dioxide from flue gas. Various technologies are used to separate CO2 from the flue gas of conventional fossil fuel-fired power plants and petroleum chemical plants, such as chemical absorption, physical adsorption, cryogenic methods, membrane separation and biological fixation. The CO2 capture technology can be classified into three types; post-combustion, pre-combustion, oxy combustion. Most existing post-combustion technologies are based on chemical absorption by using amine. Single alkanolamine and blended alkanolamine solutions have been used to remove CO2 from process stream of chemical industries such as natural gas processing and ammonia production.
Aquous monoethanolamine(MEA) solution has several advantages over the other alkanolamines, such as low amine cost and fast absorption rate. However, aqueous MEA solution has many disadvan
