본문내용
"Happy Endings" by Margaret Atwood is definitely strong and well-constructed abnormal short story that goes off the track of the traditional love stories. It consists of several pieces of different relationships, all of which achieve a typical ending. Although, this story may be quite a new story for those who have been reading typical love stories, it emerged me as a great and enjoyable piece of writings that made me fall deeply into thoughts after reading, that it is not just an abnormal love tale, but further the truth; the truth, which rallies on a narrow path but not on a wide road with a lot of lovely couples that will all have the same goals.
The story, as you can tell from the title "Happy Ending", is and isn`t that away from the traditional fairly tale, where the boy and girl meet, fall in love, get married, have children and live happily after until they die. The A in the story, is a traditional fairly tale, rather a sarcasm that roughly describes a boring happy ending with simple lines and too many optimistic words in it.
