“Twelve Angry Men" is the debut movie of Sidney Lumet, a film director who won Golden Bear Prize in Berlin International Film Festival in 1954. This movie shows conflicts in opinion between 12 juries and their process of reasoning the innocence of a Puerto Rican boy who was prosecuted for murdering his father, in a logical and organized way. It is evaluated positively until now on and it was remaked into a television movie by the film director named William Friedkin. I have heard the movie "Twelve Angry Men" was a famous movie related to the jury system but I didn`t have chance to watch it myself until this time. Some people might think that this movie criticizes the contradiction that American democracy possesses by showing prejudices inside the democratic legal system. While watching this movie however, I rather focused on values that are necessary to make a reasonable judgment about a case. In order to make a fair decision, we should not ignore reasonable doubts, discuss the case with other people, and try to eliminate prejudices that we have.
