Problems
Domestic violence is the violence that physically or emotionally abused by a family member or partner who is or used to be in a intimate relationship. Regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, class and sex everyone can be the victim of domestic violence. Victims of domestic violence are usually women, but also men could be the victims. Only one person is a victim if domestic violence occurs in between partners or when the victim is a child; because if it happens in between partners one of them are perpetrator and another person will be the victim. If victims are more than one child or both mom and kids, more than one person is affected in this violence. Domestic violence is a serious problem because it happens mostly at home and only few victims of domestic violence report that they have been victimized, so it is very subtle. Also when violence occurs in verbal form like emotional abuse it is unnoticeable. If domestic violence is unresolved, perpetrator will keep abuse the victim and the victim will suffer with physical and/or mental illness for a long term. Without domestic violence in household, family member or partners in intimate relationships will be physically and mentally healthy.

Descriptive Research
According to the study ‘Symptom Patterns among Youth Exposed to Intimate Partner Violence’ by Jason M. Lang and Carla Smith Stover, children and adolescents’ patterns of symptoms, when they exposed to intimate partner violence, were studied by using a person-oriented approach.
