Although development of evaluation indices for Korean missionaries` works in the fields are absolutely needed task in these days, it is not facile to build it properly in spiritual and practical levels, The purpose of evaluation of missionary`s works are not to fall missionaries into rank, but to find out appropriate ways to improve efficiency of their endeavors individually. In other words, the purpose of evaluation is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of missionaries and to provide follow-up measures. Christian ministries could not be digitalized according to modern management engineering. We have to be cautious to the current trends to numerate or digitalize God`s works, since emergence of church growth schools, Efficiency, however, should not be forsaken, Therefore, serious creative studies on this issue is required. Specific indices will be attached in other article. Evaluation on missionaries` works should be done in six different areas. Those are followings; 1) language acquisition, 2) cultural understanding and adjustment, 3) ministries, 4) inter-personal relationship, 5) financial management, and 6) self-discipline, 1) language acquisition-Evaluate first the proper goal of language acquisition. Depending on the period of language program, missionaries should set the annual goals and evaluate the achievement by three different parties. Important thing in the process is to analyze the reasons why they didn`t achieve the goals, 2) cultural understanding and adjustment - Evaluate their stress levels in the field and figure out the major stress factors. Anthropological questionnaires could be applied to estimate their level of understandings, 3) ministries-Evaluate their goals of ministries in four different levels and have them evaluate by themselves. Provide questionnaires to evaluate the strategical values of their ministries in terms of indigenity. Evaluation should help missionaries to develop their own plans to hand over works to the nationals, 4) interpersonal relationship-Relations between couple, parents and children, co-workers, and missionaries and national leaders would be evaluated. Missionaries should be provided problem solving methods, 5) financial management - Evaluate their status of fund-raising and deputations and method to manage mission moneys. 6) self-discipline-It would be the most difficult area to evaluate, but most seriously needed area. Help them to use "self-evaluation questionnaires." Mission agencies would provide indirectly the methods to re-build one`s spiritual life formation. Those evaluation results should not weigh in the same weight. Each area would weigh differently depending on their spending years in the field. Basic proposal is given about the weight on each level.
