영어 초록

English voicing assimilation occurs in affixed forms. There are two kinds of assimilations: progressive and regressive assimilation. We can observe regular affixes in progressive assimilation while irregular affixes in regressive assimilation. This paper proposes a local conjunction and domain-specific constraints, distinguishing word level from root level. Also I consider whether the same constraints and the ranking hierarchy can account for the unassimilated forms such as derived forms and compounds.
