    초록

    This study confirmed the effect of S-W (water extract) and S-E (ethanol extract) of Chilbaekgo on skin wrinkles of HR-1 formed by UVB, and the following conclusions were obtained. As a result of testing the cytotoxicity of HDFn to conduct cell experiments on anti-aging, S-W and S-E did not show toxicity at concentrations below 100 ㎍/㎖, so the concentrations applicable to the experiment were set. As a result of applying this to the MMP-1 (Matrix Metalloproteinase-1) inhibition effect and collagen biosynthesis experiment, significant results were found at 100 ㎍/㎖ in S-W and S-E for MMP-1 inhibition, and significant results at 50 and 100 ㎍/㎖ for collagen biosynthesis at S-E were similar to the research results of Yun & Kim, confirming that it is an effective anti-aging material. As a result of animal testing on HR-1 for wrinkle inhibition, the wrinkle depth and wrinkle improvement were observed using DETAX System II (MIXPAC), Double-Stick Disc (3M, Germany), and Demo bella equipment, and significant results were obtained in S-E. In addition, as a result of Hematoxylin & eosin (H&E) staining of skin tissue, the thickness of the epidermis decreased closer to the normal group compared to the UVB-Vehicle control, and skin tissue damage due to photoaging was reduced by reducing granule cells, reducing skin waviness and shedding, and reducing inflammation by suppressing immune cells. In Masson’s trichrome staining, which detects changes in dermal matrix components such as collagen, less damage to collagen fibers was observed compared to the UVB-Vehicle control group, confirming that S-E is more effective than S-W. This showed similar results to the anti-wrinkle effect of lignified extract (Yun et al., 2018), confirming that it is an effective anti-aging material. Therefore, from the results of this study, it was found that S-E among the Chilbaekgo extracts had an inhibitory effect on the formation of skin wrinkles by HR-1 formed by UVB. Considering this aspect, it is considered worthwhile to conduct various studies in the future by separating the active ingredient from S-E.
