千字文辭說을 통해 본 韓⋅中 傳統演戱의 관련성 (A Study on the Relationship among Traditional Performing Arts of Korea and China through the Qianziwen ’s Words)

초록

For this paper, I studied the comic Qianziwen(千字文) in Korea andChina and the relationship of the comic Qianziwen(千字文) between thetwo countries.
After Zhouxingsi(周興嗣) wrote Qianziwen(千字文), it became a veryfamous textbook for children. On the other hand, many people began towrite the comic Qianziwen(千字文) which is approximately from the timeof the Tang(唐) dynasty. Many perfomers began to use the comicQianziwen(千字文) for the Liao(遼), the Song(宋), and the Jin(金)dynasties. As a result, this left 7 titles of Qianziwenyuanben(千字文院本). Since then, the tradition of using the comic Qianziwen(千字文), inperfoming arts lasted for hundreds of years. Now, we can find out agreat deal of evidence about the comic Qianziwen(千字文), in traditionaldramas, novels and the art of Shuochang(說唱).
According to this evidence, all Chinese comic Qianziwen(千字文)borrowed lots of phrases which are comprised out of four words from theoriginal Qianziwen(千字文).
On the contrary, the tradition of the comic Qianziwen(千字文), inKorea just began in the 18th century. And each sentence of the comicQianziwen(千字文) was set to the meaning of each word that came fromthe original Qianziwen(千字文).
Although in appearance it seemed that there is not any relationshipbetween the comic Qianziwen(千字文) in Korea and those in China, but Ithink there is a close connection between the two.
It was Baekjeong(白丁) who performed the comic Qianziwen(千字文)for the Chosun(朝鮮) dynasty. According to the study, the origin ofBaekjeong(白丁) is in the Jaein(才人) or Yangsuchoek(楊水尺) of theGoryeo(高麗) dynasty. And many historians think that Jaein(才人) orYangsuchoek(楊水尺) came from Kitan(契丹).
After the mass immigration to Korea during the Goryeo(高麗)dynasty, lots of Jaein(才人) had still been engaged in performing arts.
We understand this through the Banin(泮人) who lived in the later partof the Chosun(朝鮮) dynasty.
On the other hand, many Kitan(契丹) Jaein(才人) was used to playZaju(雜劇) or Yuanben(院本) for the Liao(遼) and the Jin(金) dynasties.
This Zaju(雜劇) has also been in fashion since the Goryeo(高麗) dynasty.
People of Kitan(契丹) and Korea had very similar language habits.
In conclusion, I think the tradition of comic Qianziwen(千字文) inKorea probably came from Zaju(雜劇) or Yuanben(院本) of the Liao(遼)or Jin(金) dynasties through the Kitan-Jaein(契丹才人).
