국어교육 내용으로서의 '태도' -'태도'가 국어교육내용으로서 중요성을 띠는 관점 확충하기- (A Study on ‘Attitude’ as The Content Area of Korean Language Education)

초록

2009년에 개정된 국어과 교육과정은 국어과 교육의 내용 영역을 지식, 기능, 태도의 세 영역으로 설정하였다. 국어교육에서 태도 교육은 1) 지식 ․ 기능과 분리되는태도교육 2) 지식 ․ 기능에 융합되는 태도교육 3) 지식 ․ 기능에 대한 메타인지 차원의 태도교육 등으로 범주화 할 수 있다.
국어과 교육에서는 일차적으로 국어현상에 대한 태도를 가지게 하고, 이를 바탕으로 국어현상을 학습하려는 태도를 기르도록 해야 한다. 그리고 궁극에는 국어에 대한인식을 높이도록 하는 교육이 이루어져야 한다. 태도는 국어 지식이나 국어 기능을배우는 방향을 이끌어가는 내적 기제가 되기도 한다. 언어를 인식하고 습득할 때 인지 발달의 측면, 정의 발달의 측면, 사회성 발달의 측면에 태도 요인은 늘 개입하고작용한다. 특히 언어 인식이 어떤 의식화 과정과 결부될 때 태도 요인이 매우 중요하게 작용한다.
국어과 교육은 인접 학문들과 융합하여 태도 교육의 내용을 더 심도 있게 개발할수 있다. 예컨대 동기 심리학의 ‘방어기제’가 언어적 양태로 발화되는 다양한 현상을설명할 수 있다. 또 ‘언어발달’과 ‘긍정의 태도’가 상관성 높게 연결되는 프로그램을만들 수도 있을 것이다. ‘태도’를 지나치게 발달 심리학의 내용으로만 이해하려 하면,국어교육학의 발전에 도움을 얻기 어렵다.
국어교육학자들이 지니는 ‘이론적 지향’은 ‘태도’의 일종이다. 이는 ‘가치의 가치를추구하는 태도’라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 태도는 지금의 국어교육학자들에게 특히 필요하다.

영어초록

The content area of Korean language education which was revised in 2009is set into three areas of knowledge, functions, and attitudes. The attitude education in Korean language education can be categorized as 1) attitude education separated from knowledge and functions 2) attitude education fused with knowledge and functions 3) attitude education in meta-cognitive dimension on knowledge and functions. Korean language education should primarily teach attitudes toward the Korean language phenomenon and try to cultivate attitudes to learn Korean language phenomenon based on this.
And the education to raise the awareness about Korean language should be eventually done. The attitude could be the inner mechanism to lead the learning direction of the knowledge and functions of Korean language. The attitude factors always intervene and act in the aspects of cognitive development, definition development and sociality development when we recognize and learn a language. Especially, the attitude factors play an important role in case the language recognition is combined with some consciousness-raising process. The Korean language education can develop the contents of the attitude education to the more in-depth level by confusion with neighboring disciplines. For example, it can explain the various phenomena that “defense mechanism” of motivational psychology is shown in the linguistic aspects. And it also can create a program which “language development” and “positive attitude” are highly connected in. It is difficult to get help for the development of Korean language education if we try to understand “attitude” by the developmental psychology too much. “Theoretical orientation” the Korean language education scholars have is a kind of “attitude”, which is “attitude to pursue the worth of value.” This attitude is particularly necessary for the current national language education scholars.
