신-인 관계 토대로서 심-미적 실존 연구 - 키에르케고어의 미적 실존에 슐라이어마허의 의존감정을 잇댐으로써- (A study on aesthetic existence as a basis for God-human relationship - Through comparative analysis of Kierkegaard’s aesthetic existence and Schleiermacher’s feelings of dependence -)

초록

전통적으로 진(眞)과 선(善)에 치우친 프로테스탄트 신-인 관계는 환원주의에 따른 왜곡이 불가피했다. 신의 필연성을 강조한 진(眞)의 차원에서는 신-인 관계에서의 주도권이 신에 있었디. 신의 일방적인 주도권 행사는 인간 억압을 가져왔다. 신의 필연성을 강조하는 이 전통에서 인간의 가능성은 철저하게 배제되었다. 신의 초월성을 강조하자 인간이 신에게 종속되는 관계로 전락했으며 신의 내재성에 몰두하자 인간이 자연과 동일시 되었다. 후자의 경우 인간이 자연으로 해소되어 버리는 비극을 초래했다. 한편 계몽주의 이후 선의 차원에서는 신-인 관계의 한 축인 의지적 주체가 전면에 등장해 주체의 신격화로 이어졌다. 인간의 가능성을 절대화하는 경향은 교만한 주체를 부채질했고 결국 인간 소외라는 결과를 낳았다.
필자는 신관이 인간의 자기 이해 반영이라는 점에서 인간 억압과 소외를 낳는 전통적인 프로테스탄트 신-인 관계 왜곡이 인간에 대한 파편적이고 환원주의적 이해에 근거하고 있다는 점을 주목했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 인간에 대한 통전적 이해로의 전환을 시도했다. 신-인 관계의 토대로서 미학적 실존 연구를 진행하는 과정에서 케에르케고어의 미적 실존에 슐라이어마허의 의존감정을 잇대어 분석하는 방법을 활용했다. 결론적으로 두 사상가에서 나타난 미학적 실존은 가능성과 죄성이 상호공속적으로 얽힌 통사람으로서의 실존을 가리키고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 인간을 정신의 어느 한 요소로 환원시키는 파편적 인간 이해를 거부하는 이러한 미학적 실존 이해는 고전적 신관의 한계를 극복하며 현대의 신-인 관계에 생명력, 역동성을 불어넣는 징검다리가 되어주고 있다.

영어초록

The Protestant relationship between God and humanity, which was traditionally biased toward truth and goodness, was inevitably subject to distortion due to reductionism. At the level of reason, which emphasized God’s one-sidedness, God had the initiative in the relationship between God and man. God’s unilateral exercise of initiative led to human oppression. In this tradition that emphasizes the inevitability of God, human possibilities are completely excluded. When the transcendence of God was emphasized, humans were reduced to a relationship of subordination to God, and when they became absorbed in the immanence of God, humans became identified with nature. In the latter case, it resulted in the tragedy of humans being dissolved into nature. Meanwhile, in the dimension of goodness after the Enlightenment, the volitional subject, which is an axis of the relationship between God and man, came to the fore, leading to the deification of the subject. The tendency to absolutize human potential fueled arrogant subjects and ultimately resulted in human alienation.
The author noted that the traditional Protestant distortion of the God-human relationship, which leads to human oppression and alienation, is based on a fragmentary and reductionist understanding of humans, given that the view of God is a reflection of human self-understanding. Accordingly, this paper attempted to transition to a holistic understanding of humans. In the process of conducting research on aesthetic existence as the basis for the relationship between God and man, a method of analyzing Kierkegaard’s aesthetic existence and Schleiermacher’s feelings of dependence was used. In conclusion, it can be seen that the aesthetic existence revealed in the two thinkers points to the existence of a whole person in which possibility and sin are mutually intertwined. This aesthetic understanding of existence, which rejects the fragmentary understanding of human beings that reduces them to a single element of the human mind, overcomes the limitations of the classical view of God and serves as a stepping stone to infuse vitality and dynamism into modern God-human relationships.
