영어 초록
Subinhibitory concentration of antibiotics may be an important research topic to study the original role of antibiotic molecules in nature. We studied the effect of various antibiotics on the virulence factors of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) when using the antibiotics in the concentration lower than their minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). Sub-MIC concentration was determined by bacterial culture with diluted antibiotics and their influences on the production of toxins such as phenol-soluble modulins (PSMs) and alpha-toxin were measured.
