일본어 형용사 활용표의 변천 과정에 관한 고찰 - 고등학교 일본어Ⅰ교과서를 대상으로 -

한국어 초록

본고에서는 일본어 교육과정의 변천 과정을 통해 형용사 활용표에 대한 변화 과정을 분석하고, 현행 활용표의 문제점에 대해 고찰하였다. 결과는 아래 세 가지로 요약할 수 있다.
첫째, 전통적인 일본 학교문법에 근거한 형용사 활용표는 최초의 일본어 교과서인 『日本語讀本』부터 의사소통능력이 강조된 제6차 교육과정의 [성안당], [천재교육] 2종 교과서까지 사용되었다. 이후 제7차 교육과정부터는 일본어교육에 근거한 활용형을 전면적으로 도입하여 현재에 이르고 있다.
둘째, 일본어교육의 관점에 근거한 새로운 형용사 활용표를 처음으로 제시한 교과서는 제4차 교육과정 [교학사]와 [한림출판사]이다. ‘형용사’, ‘형용동사’라는 품사명은 제6차 교육과정 [금성교과서], [진명출판사] 2종 교과서부터 ‘い형용사’, ‘な형용사’로 사용되기 시작하여 제7차 교육과정부터는 통일된다.
셋째, 활용형의 명칭에 대해서는 현재에도 여전히 통일되지 않은 상태에 있다. ‘です형’과 ‘정중형’, ‘ない형’과 ‘부정형’ 등은 현재에도 교과서마다 다른 형태로 제시되어 있다. 또한 활용표에서 활용형을 어느 범위까지 제시할 것인가 등의 문제도 향후 보다 심도 있는 논의가 필요한 부분이다.

영어 초록

This study analyzed the process of change in the adjective conjugation table through the process of change in Japanese curriculum and examined the problem of the current conjugation table. The results can be summarized as follow:
First, the adjective conjugation based on the traditional grammar was used in the first Japanese textbook 『日本語讀讀(Japanese Readers)』to two textbooks under the 6th curriculum with emphasis on communication ability. Since then, the conjugation based on Japanese education has been fully adopted by the 7th curriculum.
Second, the first textbooks that presented a new adjective conjugation table based on the perspective of Japanese education were made by [Kyohak] and [Hanlim] Publishing Company under the 4th curriculum. The names of word classes such as ‘adjective’ and ‘adjectival noun’ began to be used as ‘i-adjective’ and ‘na-adjective’ in the two textbooks under the 6th curriculum, and they were unified by the 7th curriculum.
Third, the names of conjugation have not been unified at present. For ‘desu-form’ and ‘polite form’, and ‘nai-form’ and ‘negative form’, the current textbooks presents different forms of conjugation table. There is a need for a more in-depth discussion on the extent to which the conjugation table should present the conjugation.
