한국무용의 역학적(易學的) 심미형상

한국어 초록

무용은 신체의 움직임을 통해서 표현하는 예술이다. 심미주체인 무용수는 고조된 기능을 발휘하여 자신이 느끼는 감정, 혹은 표현하고자 하는 심미대상이나 의지 등을 예술로 승화된 생동감 있는 움직임으로 무용형상을 만든다. 이러한 무용형상은 형식과 방법, 그리고 문화적 특성 등에 따라 매우 다양하게 표현된다. 이렇게 표현되는 움직임은 일정한 질서와 그 변화에 의해 감정을 시각적으로 나타내는 것이다. 한국무용은 우선 우리 몸을 통해서 철학적 사고에 입각한 원리를 체득하고 이에 따라 다양하게 이루어지는 동작 구조에 의해 춤동작(춤사위)을 형성한다. 한국무용은『주역』에서 말하는 천지인 삼재구조의 공간적 의미가 기본구조를 이루고 있으며, 이는 춤동작을 만드는 동작원리로서 작용한다. 이러한 춤동작은 시간구조와 함께 음양원리와 태극구조에 부합되는 동작구조로 구성된다. 즉 심미주체(무용수)의 몸을 만드는 구조적 작용을 함으로써 몸은 미적인 균형을 이루고 여기에 감정이 어우러져 형상화 되는 것이다. 또한『주역』의 철학적 기반은 춤을 전개하는 작품전체의 구성면에서도 나타난다. 『주역』은 우주자연 만물의 이치를 담은 책으로 그것이 포함하고 있는 음양 관계는 뚜렷한 연 관성과 계통성을 갖는 미학적 원리를 제시한다. 이러한 미학적 원리에서 한국무용의 심미특징을 살펴볼 수 있다.

영어 초록

Dance is a form of art expressed through body movements. A dancer, the aesthetic subject, by displaying culminated skills, forms his/her feelings, aesthetic objects and wills into vivid dance forms sublimated as an art. These dance forms vary according to formality, method, cultural character, etc. These movements are also visual expression of feelings following specific order and change. In the Korean dance, dancer needs to embody a philosophical principle and dancing motions are accordingly constructed on the base of the philosophy. The spatial meaning of three functions of Heaven-World-Man in the Book of Changes is a basic structure of the Korean dance, and this is a main factor of Korean dancing motion. With the time structure, Korean dancing motions concur with the yin-yang(陰陽） principle and taiji(太極）structure. Therefore, dancer`s body obtains aesthetic balance and here feelings join together. Futhermore, the philosophy embeded in the Book of Change is shown in a whole work composition. The Book of Changes includes the principle of all the things of the universe. Its yin-yang relation suggests an aesthetic principle having systemicity and relatedness. The aesthetic characteristics of Korean dancing can be seen in this aesthetic principle.
