최치원의 시세계와 녹색정신

이 글은 신라시대 최치원(857~ ? )의 시세계를 분석하면서 시간의 흐름에 따라 작가의식의 지향과 그 변화를 탐색하여 작가의식에 포함된 녹색정신을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 최치원의 시세계는 작가의식과 녹색정신의 변화에 따라서 크게 세 갈래로 나누어질 수 있다. 당나라 유학시절에 지어진 시세계는 과거급제와 입신양명을 위해 `녹색정신을 활용하자`고 하는 정신세계를 표현하고 있다. 이러한 시세계에 담겨있는 작가의식은 주어진 환경과 생명공동체를 활용하여 자신의 과거급제와 입신양명을 추구하고 있는 녹색정신이라 할 수 있다. 관료시절에 지어진 시세계는 현실정치의 부조화를 비판하기 보다는 자아성찰을 통해서 선악과 시비의 판단을 보류하여 `녹색정신으로 공생하자`라는 주제를 표현하고 있다. 이러한 관료시절의 시는 현실정치의 부조리를 경험하면서 자아성찰을 통해서 생명체와 공생하고자 하는 것으로 현실세계와의 소통과 대화를 추구하는 녹색정신을 지니고 있다. 마지막으로 은둔전후기의 시세계는 `녹색정신으로 돌아가자`는 표어로 구체화할 수 있다. 이 시기의 시세계는 현실세계를 초월하여 자연으로 귀의하여 생명체인 자연과의 합일을 추구하는 녹색정신을 지니고 있다. 녹색정신의 실천을 중심으로 살펴본 최치원의 시세계에는 현실세계와 초월세계를 함께 긍정하면서 생명공동체를 활용하여 공생하며 조화롭게 살아가야 한다는 인본정신을 지니고 있었다.

영어 초록

In this article, we examine the poetic world of Choi Chi-hwon of the Silla dynasty and examine the green spirit that has emerged in order to examine the green spirit in the traditional culture. Choi `s poem world can be divided into poetry when he studied abroad, poetry when he was a bureaucrat, and poetry before and after the hermit. These three types of poetic systems are divided as follows. The green economicism is first to try to adapt to the system and realities of Tang Dynasty as a time of study, to strive for happiness and to utilize the ecosystem to adapt to the real world. Secondly, It is green rationalism as a bureaucratic days, and to cooperate with each other for the sustainable development of the ecosystem without observing the causes and consequences. Finally, it is green fundamentalism that the view pursues the ecosystem and unity by returning to the nature beyond the real world as the city of the apocalypse can do. In this article, I will show the modern people who are trying to escape from the ignorance of ecosystem destruction by using the ecosystem, symbiosis with the ecosystem, and to seek sustainable development of ecosystems. This green spirit that appears in the poem of Choi Chi-hwon is of value as a life idea that shows the indomitable will of `no impossibility` no matter what difficulties the modern man may face.
