ABSTRACT

한국어 초록

본 연구는 어린이집 부모의 어린이집 참여 현황을 살펴보고, 어린이집에의 부모참여 정
도 및 부모참여 만족도가 이들의 전반적인 부모역할 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분
석해보고자 하였다. 연구를 수행하기 위하여 수도권 어린이집의 유아반 어머니를 대상
으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 이용한 경로분석으로 분
석하였다. 연구 결과, 어린이집에의 부모참여는 어린이집과의 의사소통 부분에서 가장
높았고, 어린이집 운영에 대한 의사결정 부분에서 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 어
린이집에의 부모참여 정도가 높을수록, 부모의 어린이집 참여에 대한 만족도는 높은 것
으로 나타났으며, 어린이집에의 부모참여와 부모참여 만족도 및 부모역할 만족도의 변
수 간 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 어린이집에의 부모참여는 부모참여 만족
도를 매개로 전반적인 부모역할 만족에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

영어 초록

This study examined parents’ involvement to with a child care center for their
children, their satisfaction with their involvement, and their parental role satisfaction
and analyzed how the parents’ involvement to with a child care center impacted on
their parental role satisfaction. To perform the study, a survey was conducted on
mothers whose young children were attending child care centers in metropolitan areas.
The collected data were analyzed using path analysis as well as structural equation
modeling. Results showed that parents’ involvement was high on in regards to
communication part, and relatively low in the regards to decision-making part. The
higher parents' involvement in a child care center for their children, the higher their
involvement satisfaction was found to be higher. There was positive correlation
between the parent involvement at a child care center and the satisfaction of
participation and their parental role satisfaction. Also, parents‘ involvement in a child
care center was found to have a positive impact on their overall parental role
satisfaction.
