Recently, in South-Korea a private organization(韓民族文化協會) erected Statues of Dangun(檀君), written as the founder of the Old Korea in the History of Three Conturies(三國遺事), in the many public places as elementary or middle school. On the ground of Second Commandment, most of Korean churches, including the Korea National Council of Churches, raised against the statue as a kind of idol worship. Also, it was reported that in North-Korea, Dangun Tomb were rediscovered and rebuilt in 1993 at Pyungyang. After 19(3 North Korean scholars have denied Dangun as mythological fiction. But recently they consist that as historical person Dangun founded the Old Korea in Pyungyang, threrfore Pyungyang must be the center place of reunification of the Korea Peninsular. It has been argued whether the Myth of Dangun is only a mythological fiction or historical fact. Korean confucian scholars, colonialistic historians and modern positivist historians mainly regard it as a fiction. But many religious organizations which worship Dangun as nation father insist Dangun is a historical person. Also the myth of Dangun have been interpreted in many religious perspectives. Some Korean theologian have tried to interpret the myth of Dangun as follower: 1) Kim In-Seo criticized the marriage between man(桓雄) and animal熊女) in the Myth of Dangun as the dramatization of Buddhistic transmigrationism. But he insisted that the dimly belief in Han(God of Heaven) of our ancient have been became the perfect faith on the God of Bible through Jesus Christ. 2) Yun Seong Bum supposed that three person(桓因, 桓雄, 桓儉) in Dangun Myth were under influence of Nestorian christianity in 8 century. 3) Kim Kwang Shik interpreted the myth of Dangun as ontology of being human, including foundation, structure and form of being humam, in the perspective of anthropology. 4) Yu Dong Shik explained in his theology of Pungyu(風流) that the main structure of Dangun Myth were organic harmony of three realities, that is, heaven, earth, man. This harmony of three Taeguk(三太極) and belief of three God(三神) have been transmitted from generation to generation as belief of Phungyu. 5) Park Jong Cheon proposed the theology of Ungyeo(熊女) in the view of feministic theology as well as Minjung theology. In Conclusion, the structure of Dangun Myth, organic harmony of three realities, will be adapted as the principle of hermeneutics for interpreting the main theme of the Bible in Korean theological perspective.
