Daejang(對仗) is a method of description which we put similar or opposite meaning, structure and the sound in first phrase and second one in one stanza to keep balance. In this thesis I examine the reason why Daejang has more developed in chinese poetry than any other poetry in chinese character, chinese and chinese poetry. And the result is as follows. First, the chinese language`s feature, one word-one sound-one character makes the two words or phrases in Daejang have similar meaning, sound and sight. Second, because chinese has no suffix and no variation of words, the meaning of sentence is changed as the order of words. Third, the dualism of Yin-Yang(陰陽) in Orient society has caused the development If Daejang in China. Like the confrontation of Yin-Yang, in Daejang we persue the creation of new world by putting opposite things in two phrases and comparing and harmonizing them.
