한국어 초록

구비문학 연구는 전통문화 읽기에서 나아가 바람직한 현실문화 만들기를 적극적인
과제로 끌어안아야 한다. 문화 만들기는 생활 속에서 문학생산 주권을 민주적으로 누리
며 문화창조력을 발휘할 때 가능하다. 구비문학은 그러한 생산과 수용의 구조를 갖춘
문예작품의 훌륭한 보기이다. 그러므로 구비문학의 존재양식을 통해서 창조적인 문화
만들기의 가능성과 필요성을 문학교육과 문예창작, 웃음문화, 지역축제, 구비철학 등에
걸쳐서 다각적으로 모색한다.
문제의 근본은 유명 작가 중심으로 문학생산이 독점되고 문학교육이 문학지식을 주
입하는 쪽으로 편중되어, 민중의 문학생산 주권과 저마다 타고난 문화창조력을 발휘할
수 없게 되었다는 데 있다. 따라서 작가 중심의 문학생산에서 모든 사람들이 문학생산주체가 될 수 있는 방향으로 문학교육이 이루어지고 문학문화를 만들어가야 한다. 학교
에서 구비문학 교육이 더 강화되어야 하고 공동체문화로서 문학교육이 이루어질 필요가
있다. 현대 구비문학의 조사연구 활동과 인터넷문학에 참여하는 활동이 기대되는 방향
이다.
구비문학이 문예창작에 이바지하기 위해서는 창작판소리와 창작탈춤처럼 현대 구비
문학으로 창작되고 전승되는 환경을 학계의 연구활동과 문화정책을 통해 마련해야 한
다. 구비문학자의 창작 구비문학 연구가 활성화되어야 하며, 문화정책도 현대 구비문학
창작을 지원하는 쪽으로 나아가야 한다. 그리고 작가들이 문예창작 자원으로서 구비문
학 작품을 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 구비문학 디지털 자료센터를 만들 필요가 있다.
건강하고 행복한 사회는 웃음문화의 수준과 함께 간다. 구비문학에는 웃음문화의 전
통이 풍부하다. 유머자료를 읽는 것보다 우스개 이야기를 하는 것이 웃음문화를 더 적
극적으로 누리는 일이다. 탈춤과 판소리, 민요에도 해학과 풍자가 중요한 미적 범주이
다. 웃음문화는 구비문학으로 향유된다고 해도 지나치지 않다. 그러므로 구비문학 자원
을 더 수준 높은 웃음문화로 재창조하는 노력이 필요하다.
구비문학은 그 자체로 축제성을 지니고 있다. 탈춤과 굿놀이, 판소리를 연행하는 상
황은 축제판이나 다름없다. 축제가 개성 있게 지속되려면 축제를 지탱해 주는 신화와
전설이 함께 가야 한다. 축제의 주제와 의미를 부여해주는 것도 구비문학이고, 축제의
소재와 내용을 이루는 것도 구비문학이며, 축제의 전승력을 확보해 주는 것도 구비문학
이다. 이것이 바로 구비문학의 축제적 기능을 주목하지 않을 수 없는 이유이다.
문학의 출발이 구비문학인 것처럼 철학의 출발도 구비철학에서 비롯되었다. 이야기
를 통해서 삶의 가치와 윤리, 규범 등을 근본적으로 다시 생각하게 만들고, 속담을 통해
생활 속에서 터득한 삶의 이치를 널리 공유한다. 오히려 철학가의 경전철학보다 민중의
구비철학이 열린 철학 또는 인간해방의 철학을 추구한다. 따라서 구비철학에 갈무리된
민중의 통찰력을 분석해서 생활철학을 정립하는 데 구비문학 연구가 이바지해야 할 것
이다. 그러므로 구비문학 연구는 바람직한 현실문화를 만들어 가는 실사구시의 구비문
학으로 거듭날 수 있는 길을 열어가야 한다.

영어 초록

A study of oral literature has to look forward from a reading
of traditional culture to the task of a current culture making.
Culture making is possible when we have a sovereignty of
literature production and a power of culture creation in ordinary
life. Oral literature is very excellent example of literary art that
has a structure of production and consumption. Therefore we
find a way that possibility and necessity of creative culture as
like literature education, literary creation, laugh culture, local
festival, philosophy of literature and so on, on viewing the
existence patterns of oral literature.
A fundamental problem is that literature production has being
monopolized by a famous writer, and literature education has
being overemphasized with literary knowledge, so a folk can not
has a power of cultural creation and sovereignty of literature
production. Therefore we have to make literature culture and
literature education from writer centered literature production to whoever become to writer of literature. In the school, oral
literature education has to increase more than now, and we
need to do literature education as communal culture. And we
need to survey and study of current oral literature, and to
participate with a internet literature activity.
In order to contribute to literary creation by means of oral
literature, we have to make environment that traditional
literature become to modern oral literature as like a creative
Pansor and Talchoom(mask dance drama) by means of a study
activity and cultural policy. A study for creative oral literature
of oral literature scholar must be revitalized, and cultural policy
has to support a creation of oral literature. And we need to
establish digital archives in order to use a oral literary art as
material of creation by every writers.
A healthy and happy society is depend on the level of laugh
culture. In oral literature, a tradition of laugh culture is
abundant. It is more useful thing to tell humor each other than
reading humor text in the laugh culture. It is important
aesthetic category in the Talchoom, Pansori, folksong. A laugh
culture is activated by oral literature. Therefore we need to
recreate the material of oral literature to more higher level
laugh culture.
A oral literature has festivity itself. A performance situation of Talchoom, Gutnori, Pansori and so on is not different to a
stagy of festival. We need myth and legend that based with
festival, in order to continue the festival. A theme and meaning
of festival is based on oral literature, and a subject matter and
content of festival is also based on oral literature, and a power
of handing down of festival is caused from oral literature. This
is the reason that we have to focus a festive function of oral
literature.
As like original of liturature is oral literature, a start of
philosophy is caused with oral philosophy. We rethink a value
and morals of life by means of stories, and joint ownership a
principle of life through a proverb. A oral philosophy of folk
would pursue a open philosophy or human free philosophy
rather than the scripture philosophy of philosopher. Accordingly
a study of oral literature has to contribute to lay down
philosophy of life on interpreting a penetration of folk in a oral
philosophy. Therefore a study of oral literature has to fine a
way that could renew to make oral literature desirable current
culture.
