프랑스와 미국 다문화 가정 이주민의 언어와 문화적 갈등과 극복 -대안으로서의 다문화 교육 및 정책을 중심으로

교통과 통신의 발달 그리고 급속한 산업화 등으로 인해 지구촌이 하나의 세계가 되고 있다. 특히 프랑스와 미국은 오랜 식민지 지배와 서부개척 등의 근대사로 인해 많은 외국인이 유입되어 인종, 종교, 문화 등의 다양성으로 집약된다. 이러한 문화의 다양성은 프랑스와 미국뿐만 아니라 21세기 전 세계의 특징 중의 하나로 자리 잡았고, 이러한 다양성은 충돌, 폭력, 인권침해의 형태로 점점 더 사회를 고통 속에 빠트리고 있어 이주민과의 상호협력, 커뮤니케이션, 이해력이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 따라서 이러한 다문화 사회에서 더불어 살면서 시민의식을 함양하는 것이 무엇보다도 필요하며, 이를 위해서는 체계적인 다문화 교육의 틀에서 유기적인 관계를 형성하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위해 프랑스와 미국에서는 사회와 문화의 다양성에 대해 어떠한 교육정책으로 이주민의 문화적 갈등을 극복할 수 있는 대안이 무엇인지 살펴본다. 다양한 인종과 문화로 대표되는 프랑스와 미국은 이주민의 언어와 문화적 갈등을 극복하기 위해 문화의 다양성 제고에 대한 국가차원의 지속적인 노력을 바탕으로 한 다문화 교육정책을 실시하고 있다.

영어 초록

Due to rapid industrialization and development of global transport and communication, all countries on the earth became one world. Especially France and the United States has a long colonial rule and the frontier spirit from modern history. These two countries have cultural diversity such as their race, religion, cultural diversity. In our 21st century, Cultural diversity is not only French and American characteristics but also special characteristics of the world. At the same time human rights violations in the form of conflict and violence settle down. So human community needs increasingly bilateral cooperation, understanding, comprehension is badly needed. Therefore, in order to live together in a multi-cultural society, what is necessary, above all, is to promote civic spirit. and the system as a multicultural education in the framework is important to form an organic relationship. To that end, the US and France which have a long concern and research to overcome cultural differences between natives and immigrants. Especially education of primary and middle school focus on the assimilation, unification of alternatives that can transform the policies aimed at happy society. To overcome cultural differences between natives and immigrants, France and America, at the national level, concentrated every effort which provides a variety of multicultural education of mutual understanding for language and culture.
