한국어 초록The purposes of this study are to search problems of elementary Korean textbook which follow the separated language education policy and to propose the plan of the integrated language textbook which promote the thinking ability through the Korean language.
The whole Korean language education is based on "the totality" which is the characteristics of people and language, "the language education for a learner" which is the ideology of the whole language education and "the Korean language education which focalized on thinking ability".
280 persons of an elementary teacher and 77 persons of a textbook constructing specialist and a language education major participated in an inquiry for this study. It was found an opinion that lots of teachers and specialists were actually difficult to teach separated language
usage, also, felt an important of integrated textbook.
This study consolidated and criticized a language education by a separated textbook, investigated a changes of a language textbook according to the language education curriculum and considered the 7th language textbook in a point of a whole language education. So,
it is found problems that a language education by a separated textbook goes against the totality of a language, is unsuitable to a cognitive appropriateness and have a duplication of each strand's expectation.
We examined a method of an union in a point of the whole language, therefore, in order to investigate a possibility of a construction for an integrated textbook, we tried to find the property
of the organic and reciprocal relation among each language function and the possibility of the wide compound among each language functions for integrated textbook. Also, we researched a possibility of a totality between a literature and a knowledge of Korean language.
Hereupon, the principles of the unit construction in integrated textbook were established that are "the totality of each language thinking ability's strand", "the totality of each language activity", "the repetition and enrichment according to a learner's level" and lastly
"the co-ownership of learning subjects".
Depending on this principles, we reconstituted a second chapter, "Along the way in the book", among a second term of the fourth year class in a point of the whole language education in which suggested a literary subjects, a vocabulary aquisition and a short composition in
order to unify a function of a language usage, a knowledge of Korean language and a literature. Also, since a original strand is easy to neglect because of constituting a textbook by an unit of integrated strand, we suggested a separated unit of core area to replenish it.
A reconstructed unit based on whole language education, however, dose not apply to the students directly, We are sure that this is a kind of a trial in order to search an ideal textbook which is able to realize an ideology and a goal of a language education. And we wish to help
a textbook development and construction after this.
