오늘날 모든 것이 컬러화된 시대에서 색채는 인간의 생활과 불가분의 관계를 갖고 있으며, 대담하고 자유로운 색 활용으로 일상생활에서 강력한 반응을 이끌어 내고 있고 우리가 정보를 얻는데 도움을 받는다.
미술 영역에서 색은 감정과 개념 그리고 정보를 표현하는 도구로서 색이 지니는 가능성은 무궁무진하다. 그러나 색이 가진 무한한 잠재성을 파악하기 위해서는 색을 직접 경험하는 것으로 색과 작업하고 특성을 탐구하여 색들의 상호작용을 관찰 분석하는 것이 필요하다.

영어 초록

Because a child expresses the images in their mind through their art as they remember it they are able to express themselves in their art.
In addition, the majority impressions portrayed in their art are results of their inner world and environment.
Through the colors selected subconsciously by children in their art, we are able to understand their state of mind.
For children, artistic expression is a representation of their deep psychology and their mind; therefore, the content and significance that are revealed through their selection of color must be accurately analyzed and understood.
This study began with the hypothesis that understanding maturation and the measure of children’s emotions will be revealed more clearly through colors, and that the colors subconsciously selected by children will most accurately express their psychological state, and as a result, it was found that their color selection has a direct effect on human disposition and reflects their physiological conditions and psychological emotions.
If a teacher or parent is able to understand the child’s psychological state, dilemmas, personality and intelligence through the child’s use of colors and is able to provide proper guidance to the child, art education will contribute to the positive emotional development of the child.
