이 연구는 정신지체학교 사회과 담당 교사에게 사회과 교과교육의 실태를 알아보고 문제점 및 개선방안을 밝히고자 했다. 전국의 정신지체학교 30개교 150명의 사회과 담당교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회과 교과교육에 대한 교사의 전반적인 인식수준은, 정신지체학교에서의 사회과 교과교육은 정신지체학생들의 일상적, 사회적 적응 기술 능력을 기르기 위해 필요하다는 데에 인식을 같이 하고 있었다. 그러나 학생들의 장애에 따른 개인차와 장애 특성에 맞는 교재가 미비하여 사회과 교육 목표 달성이 미흡함을 지적하고 있다. 둘째, 사회과 교과의 운영 실태 면에서는, 실용적이며 기능 중심적으로 학생들의 자생적 생활 능력과 문제해결 능력 고양에 초점을 맞추어 실시하고 있었다. 가장 효율적인 사회과 교수-학습을 위해서 가장 중요한 과제로 장애 특성에 맞는 사회과 교과 지도 방법의 개발과 적용을 제시하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.영어 초록
This study analyzed the family stress according to family circumstance variables of mother with children with mental retardation who are with religion and without. The stress of each mother according to individual variables including employment or not will be compared, and then will be compared with the stress of each mother according to type of family. Finally, the study will be compared with the stress of each mother according to home circumstance variables including school of children.The subject of this study employed 110 mothers with children with mental retardation who are with religion, and selected 154 mothers with children with mental retardation who are without religion. The instruments of this study were adapted the 'Social Readjustment Rating Scale(SRRS)' developed by Holmes and Rahe and 'family circumstance survey' developed by the researcher. The data were processed to t-test utilizing SPSS program.
The conclusion of this study are as follows;
First, in the comparison as the whole, the findings showed that the stress of mothers who are with religion were low scores in the domain of household duties, husband, children and relative, and fitness than mothers who are without religion, but were high scores in the domains of economy. In the comparison as individual variables in case of employment or not, the stress of mothers with religion at who work were low scores than those of mothers without religion at who work, and in case of unemployment, there were low scores as the whole.
Second, in case of comparing with home circumstance variables in comparison with type of family, in case of a nuclear family, the stress of mothers with religion were low scores then those of mothers without religion, while in case of the extend family, were high scores as the whole.
Third, in comparison with children circumstance variables, in comparison with children school, in case their children attend elementary school, there were 5%, significant difference in the domains of household duties, and in case their middle school attend, there were 1%, significant difference in the domains of a relative.
In summary, when interpret the findings of this study, we face with problems having religion and scholarship, thus it essential that the sequential study interpret the academic development as religion dimension.
