본 연구는 부모-교사 파트너쉽 관계, 교사-유아 상호작용, 유아교․보육 기관에 대한 만족도, 유아와 가족의 특성 중 어떠한 요인이 유아교․보육 기관의 질에 대한 부모의 중요성 인식을 가장 많이 예측하는가를 조사하였다. 연구결과, 부모-교사 파트너쉽 관계가 긍정적일수록 유아교․보육 기관에 대한 질을 평가할 때 언어개념 활동과 사회성 발달 영역이 중요하다고 인식하였고, 교사-유아 상호작용이 긍정적일수록 생활습관지도, 시설설비, 창의성 활동, 사회성발달, 교사와 부모의 환경 등의 영역들이 중요하다고 인식하였다. 또한, 유아교․보육 기관에 대해 만족할수록 생활습관지도, 시설설비, 대소근육활동, 창의적 활동 등의 영역들을 중요하다고 인식하였다. 어머니의 학력이 낮을수록 생활습관지도 영역을, 가족수입이 높을수록 시설설비 영역을 중요하다고 인식하였다. 이러한 결과들은 유아교․보육 기관의 질에 대한 부모의 인식을 기반으로 유아교․보육 프로그램의 질을 다원적으로 분석할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 줄뿐만 아니라 유아교․보육의 질을 높이는데 나아가야 할 방향을 제시해 주는 기초자료가 될 것이다.

영어 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine parents' perceptions of their children child care quality from family characteristics, parent-teacher partnership, teacher-child interactions, and satisfaction. Parents' perceptions of ECE programs were measured with a parent questionnaire(ECERSPQ), which is an adaptation of the ECERS. Findings indicate that the more parent-teacher partnership is positive, the more parents perceive high importance of language and social development. The more teacher-child interactions are positive, the more parents indicate high importance for the aspects of furnishings and display for children, creative activities, social development, and adult needs. The lower the mothers' education, the higher the importance of fine and gross motor activities. The higher the family income, parents assign substantially higher quality scores to furnishing and display for quality required in the ECERSPQ.
