1. Company Profile – P&G
P&G was one of the world’s top household and personal products companies established in 1873 by William Procter and James Gamble. The company was well known for its consumer products like soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, food and beverages, health, and beauty care. It approximately had 150 brands and some of them are the most popular brand in the world: Pampers, Tide, Folgers, Olay and Head & Shoulders. Furthermore, they had a competitive advantage in marketing to women and operated successfully in the Chinese market. Its major competitors are Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, L’Oreal and Colgate-Palmolive. 2. Company Profile – Gillette
Gillette is a market leader in the razor industry, and it was established in 1904 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States by King Camp Gillette. Also it’s other two brands, Oral-B toothbrushes and Duracell batteries, are popular and recorded at least $1 billion every year. Unlike P&G, Gillette’s main customers are men and they had strengths in India and Brazil markets.
