What is‘pH’?
The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is.
It ranges from 0 to 14. A pH of 7 is neutral. A pH less than 7 is acidic, and a pH greater than 7 is basic.
The origin of ‘ph’
The idea of pH was proposed in 1909 by a Danish chemist named Soren Sorensen to solve an annoying problem chemists were having.

Different species have different pH tolerance levels, but sudden changes in pH are dangerous for any fish.
