본문내용
To me, an international student, NCLB is a bit strange legislation. The No Child Left behind Act (NCLB) was signed into law on January 8, 2002 by President Bush. The Act shows the President's educational reform and covers the most comprehensive vagaries to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) since 1965. The Act changes the role of government in education by concentrating on each school’s success as measured by student achievement. This Act also includes the President's four basic education reform principles; stronger accountability for results, increased flexibility and local control, expanded options for parents, and an emphasis on teaching methods that have been proven to work. With the Act, it has been able to measure school success based on assessment of student learning over time using multiple indicators, to make small size classes for narrowing achievement gaps and improving student achievement
