본문내용How many koreans know the name of an African country, Zimbabwe? or, how many times have Korean newspapers focused on the conflict in Zimbabwe? Maybe, few koreans have heard about Zimbabwe and the rate to be reported might be very low. Because Zimbabwe is small , poor and economically little involved with Korea, we, koreans have turned our face away from Zimbabwe. Korea is also included in the third countries and koreans often complain the foreign press tends to ignore Korea. I think the press should have interest in not only major countries, but also many other countries in the third world. In fact, the poorer a country is, the more problems it has and the more things it should be aided. For that reason, I selected Zimbabwe as my subject. I've heard about Zimbabwe a few times, but the newspapers would treat it sensationally. I wanted to study the social problems in Zimbabwe deeply.
