본문내용Daniel C. Snell is a professor of history at the University of Oklahoma and has written several books on the ancient Near East. His book Life in the Ancient Near East draws together his knowledge of the period and the region to provide what he calls a comprehensive history covering the era form 31000 to 332 B.C.E. He states that the book is addressed to the "educated lay reader who has some interest in the ancient world but no detailed knowledge of it" (ix), and in that context, his analysis offers a great deal of information and analysis and does so in some detail, beginning with basics and moving through more complex topics, showing that he is indeed addressing the work to someone who may begin with little knowledge but who will be interested in gaining more as time passes.
