Ⅰ. Introduction

Living in the 21st century of information age, effective English teaching is one of the most important issues. Some people even insist that English should be a second language of our country. No one denied that English is necessary to survive in this age of access and almost everyone admits that the 7th graders would take dominant roles in this coming society. In this regards teaching English to them should be focused on searching for new teaching methods to cope with this kind of compulsory situation, which needs student`s capability to communicate with foreigners.
This lesson plan is designed to achieve such a goal to make students recognize that English itself is not the purpose, but the device of learning the world around us. It is also essential that they study English on the basis of learner-centered language learning. Regarding their creativity and diverse interests, some methods to motivate students intrinsically are applied here, even though they are not brand new.
