1. Goals & Objectives
Understand the operation of a DAC according to its timing diagram, and devise a circuit that can operate at a desired range. And understand the characteristics and the operating principle of a DAC utilizing the current mirror using R-2R.
2. Design Procedure
① We make the circuit of DAC.
② We check the value of voltages each digital number
③ We add the component of DAC on the previous completed circuit.
④ We connect the microprocessor and circuit and use the IDE studio 196.
⑤ We confirm the operation of our circuit by microprocessor.
⑥ We compare output of DAC with output of high-pass filter..
3. Experiment Result & Analysis
We can check the output voltage from -5V to 5V according to pin number. In other words, by measuring pin No.2 and pin No.4, we can obtain the voltage from -5V to 5V. And by measuring pin No.2 and ground, we can also obtain the voltage from 0 to 5V. Because we need the positive output voltage, we check the output voltage by measuring pin No.2 and ground.
