I. Introduction
McDonalds, Starbucks, i-Pods…the modern world is littered with these famous “brand names.” There is nothing uncommon for an average Korean university student to hang out with friends and say, “hey, let’s go to Starbucks!” instead of suggesting whether to go to a dabang. Moreover, we wake up in the morning, drink coffee made from beans imported from Brazil, brush our teeth using a toothbrush made in China, put on Guess jeans from the U.S., and drive a car made in Korea. Such an overflow of multinational products depicts an effect of globalization that has, in no doubt, rapidly spread within a few decades.
Most people are familiar with the concept of globalization. Globalization in a literal sense is international integration. It is a process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and function together. As a result, we perceive the world to be getting “smaller” as time flows.
So what does globalization
