한국어 초록

본 연구는 2011 개정 특수교육 기본교육과정 초등 국어교과서에 제시된 어휘의 총수와 품사 형
태, 어휘의 등급과 음절수 및 의미 영역을 분석하여, 발달장애 학생 교육에서 우선시되어야 할 어
휘를 제시하고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 2011개정 특수교육 기본 교육과정 국어
과 초등 교과서 1-2학년군 (가)·(나), 3-4학년군 (가)·(나) 4권을 대상으로 제시된 어휘를 지시문
어휘와 교과 내용 어휘로 구분하여 품사, 의미 영역, 어휘 난이도에 따른 등급과 음절수 등을 분
석하였다. 연구 결과, 지시문 어휘의 경우, 1-2학년군은 394개, 3-4학년군 458개였으며, 교과 내용
어휘는 1-2학년군 748개, 3-4학년군 1,012개로 나타났다. 교과서에 제시된 지시문 어휘와 교과 내
용 어휘의 수를 합한 어휘의 총수는 모두 1,739개였으며, 품사별로는 명사 63.4%, 동사 18.3%, 부
사 10.2%, 형용사 6.7%의 순으로 높은 비율을 나타냈다. 어휘의 난이도를 알아보기 위한 등급별
어휘의 비율을 살펴본 결과, 1-2학년군 어휘에서는 초급이 51.4%로 가장 많았으며, 중급 19.2%,
고급 3.9%, 미분류 25.5%였다. 3-4학년군 어휘에서도 초급이 48.8%로 가장 많았고, 중급 20.3%,
고급 5.4%, 미분류 25.5%로 나타났다. 다음으로 음절수에 따른 분석을 살펴보면, 1-2학년군, 3-4
학년군 모두 2음절어가 가장 많았고, 다음으로 3음절어, 4음절어, 1음절어 순으로 많았다. 마지막
으로 교과 내용 어휘를 의미 영역별 분석을 통해 살펴 본 결과, 총 14개의 대 범주 중 가장 많은
어휘를 포함하는 것은 개념(19.7%)이었고, 다음으로 인간(18.7%), 사회생활(10.8%), 삶(10.5%), 교
육(10.1%), 동식물 (7.4%), 식생활(7.4%), 주생활(6.1%)의 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바
탕으로 기본교육과정 국어교과서 어휘 선정과 자료 개발을 위한 제안과 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 하였다.

영어 초록

The purpose of conducting this study is to survey the vocabulary in Korean textbook
from 1st to 4th grade according to revised basic curriculum 2011 for special education.
This study has been analyzed according to the total number of different words, part of
speech, grade of vocabulary, syllable of word and the domain of the meaning for the
purpose of presenting the high priority vocabulary for the students with the developmental
disabilities. The number of directive vocabulary surveyed is 394 in Korean textbook for 1st
and 2nd grade and 458 for 3rd and 4th grade. The numbers of subject contents vocabulary
surveyed is 748 in Korean textbook for 1st and 2nd grade, and 1,012 in Korean textbook
for 3rd and 4th grade. The total number of directive vocabulary and subject contents
vocabulary is 1,739 different words in Korean textbook from 1st to 4th grade, and in
analysis of the part of speech, noun accounts for 63.4%, then verb for 18.3%, and then
adjective for 10.2%, adverbs 6.7% in order. In analysis on grade of vocabulary, vocabulary
of elementary level accounts for 51.4%, intermediate level for 19.2% and advanced level
for 3.9% in 1st-2nd grade, and vocabulary of elementary level accounts for 48.8%,
intermediate level for 20.3% and advanced level for 5.4% in 3rd-4th grade. According to
the analysis of syllabic vocabulary of practical vocabulary, dissyllable words were observed
with the highest frequency in the text books of both groups; 1st-2nd grade and 3rd-4th
grade and next trisyllable words, quadrisyllable words, one syllable words in order. Lastly,
according to the analysis of subject contents vocabulary provided in Korean textbook
through the domain of the meaning, ‘concept’(19.7%) category included the biggest number
of words among fourteen categories, and ‘a human being’ (18.7%) category secondly,
‘animals and plants’(7.4%) next, the eating habits’(7.4%), and ‘house life’(6.1%) in order.
Based on these results and discussions, we suggest implications to choose vocabulary for
Korean textbooks within basic curriculum and to develop data and for follow-up
researches.
