Think of a database as an electronic version of your filing cabineta single place to store, organize, and access all of your information. Databases store information in
fields, records, and files.
To use information contained in a database, you need a Database Management System (DBMS), a collection of software programs that let you to enter, organize, and select information stored in the database. DBMS ensures the integrity of the data, making sure it continues to be accessible and is consistently organized as intended
and security, making sure only those with access privileges can access the data.
The two most typical DBMS models are Relational Database and Object Oriented Database. People have different opinions which one is better. Therefore, the objective of this report is to present each model’s concept and specific characteristics, to discuss that which model is more suitable in nowadays.
