The Greatest Love
" He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." ( Isaiah 53:5 )
Images of a bloody crown of thorns, hands and feet that was pierced, a whipped body that looks like a weak, drooping rose torn to ribbons, and a dark red cross All these pictures still remain in my heart after seeing the movie ` The Passion of the Christ`. I am a Christian, so I`ve learned and read about the story of how Jesus died on the cross and why He was crucified, but through this movie, I could see the story in my own eyes and picture him in my heart. The intensive, graphic descriptions in this movie strengthened my understanding of Christ`s sacrifice and love on the cross.
