Huck as the son of nature
Since the Columbus’ discovery of the New World, America have been enough vast to captivate author’s imagination. Above all, the Mississippi River was a specific in the Southern of America. It was a grand sight that there were a boundless forest, a swimming shoal of fish, and a beautiful riverside. However, Mark Twain deplored that the clear environment was destroyed because of the machine civilization after the Industrial Revolution and the Civil War. In his novel, he reproduced his childhood memory about the Mississippi River through identify himself with the son of nature Huck. We can analyze Huck`s three aspects as the son of nature characters; background of novel, civilization, and river.
