If you learn European languages, you’ll find some words look alike. That’s because all of them were initiated from one seed. For instance, “Student” is “Student” in German and “Смуденм” in Russian. However, among all the languages, English and German are the most similar. Therefore, we thought that there is a relationship between two languages. Finally, we decided to research them. We think it will be helpful to study history of English pronunciation.
◎ Explanation of relationship between English and German
Anglo and Saxon belong to Germans immigrated to the Great Britain island in 450~451. The word ‘England’ means territory where Anglo people live in Latin. Therefore, English and German share many things. However, they also have some different features because both languages have had distinctive experience since then.
