Ⅱ. Explanation of theme: Children might often hear animals names on the TV. They also might watch animations or TV programs of animals, such as 'Winnie the Pooh', so they may be interested in animals. In addition to their interest in animals, through using animals as a teaching principle, teaching various adjectives (long, cute, sharp, etc.), several English grammars will be excellent.Ⅲ. 1) Warm-up activity
▶ A teacher teaches pronunciation with the flash cards. (ex: The 'r' sound in 'Rabbit')
2) Motivational Game
▶ A teacher makes students read the animal names on the flash cards repeatedly.
▶ A teacher attaches the flash cards (the animal names are hidden) on a wall.
- The teacher gives students questions (ex: "Which is Lion?").
- If a student raises a hand, the teacher makes the student pick the card and names the animal for 3 times.
- The student gets candies.
- Play continues for 15minutes.
