November nineteenth 1863, During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln attended a dedication ceremony of a national cemetery of the war dead in Gettysburg. He made just two minutes speech before the ceremony which is the Gettysburg Address. The reason why this short address famous is it briefly summarized a justification of the establishment of the United States and indicated as well as captured the significance of the Civil War which is an important event in American history, the value of freedom and the rule of democracy. There is scarcely any address which is concise, powerful and impressive but easy to understand such as the Gettysburg Address among addresses of political leaders. This address has become an origin of a principle and a vision which maintains the American history as well as a formality of permanent conformity because of its brevity, simplicity and impressive effects.
