목차
1. Define the following terms.
2. Describe the contribution of the following scientists to the understanding of the chemical nature of the gene.
3. Explain why biologists in the early 1900s thought that genes must of protein.
4. Describe what bacterial transformation is and explain why it is relevant to the chemical nature of gene.
5. Contrast experimental methods used by Avery te al. and by Hershey-Chase to determine the chemical nature of the gene.
6. Explain how radiolabelling was used in the Hershey-Chase experiment.
7. To what extent is the statement 'Genes are made of DNA' consistent with the results of Avery's work and with the results of the Hershey-Chase experiment?
8. What properties, in addition to variavility, can be predicted for the genetic material from our knowledge of the role of genes in heredity?
9. Why did 11years elapse between the discovery of bacterial transformation and the chemical identification of the transforming principle?
1. Define the following terms.
