According to Mortimer Adler, reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life (A quote by Mortimer J. Adler, 2016). As children learn a language, reading ability is important because children can learn the language independently and achieve self-improvement. It also gives children comprehensible input and allows them to learn about modern society indirectly. There are three primary theories related to reading: the bottom-up approach, the top-down approach, and the interactive approach.
