The counselors learn about counseling techniques and provide counseling services in
practices. They face the various problems related to conflicts with their patients or the
failure of counselling as well as the uncertainty in their self identity as the counsellors and
the lack of awakening of their inner self. To overcome the negative experiences, counselors
need to reflector themselves and think deeply about.
Buddhism is based on the idea of "mutual benefit to myself and others" such as "First
attain enlightenment through cultivation, then save all beings." Buddhist counselling does
not only reflect this knowledge also shows the practice of wisdom and love.
The Avatamsaka Sutra teaches 10 paramita in practice to remedy your own enlightenment
and rebirth as a Bodhisattva. The principles help to overcome the self-identity, uncertainties
and problems of their limits counselor with the counselor while pursuing self-realization
through the practice of 10 paramita and suggests the way to develop self discipline.
If the counselors try to conduct the self examination for their self development by
practicing 10 paramita of Bodhisattva based on the ideology of Bodhisattva, they will
overcome the difficulties and limitations encountered during consultations and reach the
ultimate ideal of Buddhism.
