Abstract
Globalization is an inevitable social phenomenon in today’s world. All nations have become sharing a certain concept. It could be a language, custom, or thought. Only 50 years ago, South Korea was a country that was much far from globalization. Surprisingly they had overcome the years of hardship in a short period of time and now South Korea is becoming a global leader. In tune with demand of the times, Korean society has made a commitment in various ways. Through experiencing this process, they have undergone diverse changes in negative and positive ways. This paper discusses how globalization has affected Korean society and what drawbacks and benefits have occurred from globalization.
Introduction
How can we define globalization in simple words? Considering this globalization Age, it can be defined as a social phenomenon that this whole world is becoming a huge community. In the article, “Framing Articles: What is Globalization?” Rifkin (2003) explains globalization in a cultural and an individual aspect.
