본 연구는 저소득층 가정 부모의 심리적 안정감이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것으로 드림스타트 사업에 참여하고 있는 대상자를 중심으로
이루어졌다. 본 연구를 통해 드림스타트 사업의 참여 유무에 따라 저소득층 가정
부모의 심리적 안녕감과 아동의 학교적응에 차이가 있는지 알아보고, 드림스타트
사업에 참여하고 있는 저소득층 가정 부모의 심리적 안녕감이 아동의 학교적응에
미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 초등학생 4,012명과 그 부모로 이
중 드림스타트 서비스를 받은 아동과 부모는 각각 3,419명, 드림스타트 서비스를
받지 않은 아동과 부모는 각각 593명이다.
연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저소득층 가정 부모의 심리적 안녕감은 드림스
타트 사업에 참여한 부모가 참여하지 않은 부모보다 높았다. 둘째, 저소득층 가정
아동의 학교적응은 드림스타트 사업에 참여한 아동이 참여하지 않은 아동보다 높
게 나타났다. 셋째, 드림스타트 사업에 참여한 저소득층 가정 부모의 심리적 안녕
감은 아동의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
영어 초록
This study was to examine psychological wellbeing of parents from low incomefamilies and to figure out the influence of these parent’s psychological wellbeing
upon children's school adjustment. The subjects of this study were the children and
families who had received Dream Start services and participated in the precedent
study on the effect of Dream Start. This research is to examine the difference in
parent’s psychological wellbeing and children's school adjustment with the
participation of Dream Start services. And the effect of the psychological wellbeing
of parent’s who participate in Dream Start services on children's school adjustment.
The subjects were 4,012 people, which included the Dream Start service groups are
3,419 people, the Dream Start group did not receive service of 593 people.
The results of the study are as follws. Fist, for the difference in psychological
wellbeing in accordance with whether for parents to participate in Dream Start
services, those who participated in are more likely to represent significant differences
than those who did not. Second, for the difference in school adjustment in accordance
with whether for children in Dream Start services, those who participated in are more
likely to represent significant differences than those who did not. Third, it was
confirmed that the participation in Dream Start service brings positive changes in
parent’s psychological wellbeing, ultimately resulting in positive effects on the
children’s school adjustment.
