본 연구의 목적은 유아기에 당면한 정서적 문제를 중심으로 발달적 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하였을 때 정서지능에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 경기도 지역에 소재한 유아교육기관의 만 4, 5세 유아 중 동생과 친구문제로 정서적 어려움을 갖고 있는 유아 74명이었다. 연구도구는 ‘정서적 문제 설문지’와 ‘유아용 정서지능 평가도구’를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 독서치료 프로그램은 Beaty(1993), Hynes와 Hynes(2001)등의 프로그램을 기초로 연구의 목적에 맞게 재구성하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 12.0을 이용하여 t검증과 공분산분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 첫째, 발달적 독서치료 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단의 유아가 발달적 독서치료 프로그램을 실시하지 않은 비교집단의 유아보다 정서지능이 향상되었다. 둘째, 발달적 독서치료 프로그램이 성별에 있어서는 여아가 남아보다 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연령별 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 발달적 독서프로그램이 유아의 정서문제 유형(동생문제/친구문제)에 따라 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

영어 초록

The prior purpose of the study is to develop the bibliotherapy program for children suitable to solve emotional problems. Also, it's to find out how does the bibliotherapy program have influences on children's emotional intelligence. For the purpose of the study, it's set research questions as follows; 1. What influences does the bibliotherapy program have on children's emotional intelligence? 2. What different influences does the bibliotherapy program have on children's emotional intelligence by children's sex? 3.What different influences does the bibliotherapy program have on children's emotional intelligence by children's age? 4. What different influences does the bibliotherapy program have on children's emotional intelligence by type of children's emotional problems? The targets of the study are 74 4 or 5 year old children enrolling educational institutes for children located in Kyunggi province. The bibliotherapy program of the study is re-constructed to meet the purpose of the study based on the program by Hynes and Hynes (2001) and Beaty(1993). For the data analysis, SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 12.0 program was used and the collected data was statistically analyzed by t-test and covariance analysis. Major results of the study are as follows; Firstly, emotional intelligence of the tested group in the bibliotherapy program has been improved more than that of the untested group with higher marks in sub-categorial elements of emotional intelligence such as recognition and expression on emotion, facilitating thoughts by emotion, utilizing emotional knowledge, and reflective control of emotion. Secondly, in the difference of emotional intelligence by sex after the bibliotherapy program, female children's emotional intelligence has been improved more than that of male children. Thirdly, in the difference of emotional intelligence by age after the bibliotherapy program, there was no big difference. Forth, in the difference of emotional intelligence by type of emotional problems after the bibliotherapy program, the program does not have special influences on children's emotional intelligence.
